MORE INFOMore INFOMORE INFO
‘X01’ ROSE IS A FRIENDLY AND APPROACHABLE STYLE THAT WAS PRODUCED IN RESPONSE TO SURPLUS FRUIT FROM STRATHBOGIE RANGES. GOOD, BOLD, FOREST-FORAGED AROMAS OF ROSE-HIP AND PLUM. PALATE OF PRETTY RED FRUITS AND CHERRIES, WITH SAVOURY TANNINS AND A DRY FINISH.
Large portion whole cluster with whole berries and carbonic fermentation. Maturation in old oak. Medium dark cherry, vibrant red edge. Nose has lifted whole cluster perfume and a slight green edge from stalks. Palate is juicy but fresh with expressive violets, dark sappy cherries and length. Slightly cool would be ideal for such a perfumed wine.
Bright medium dark brick with vibrant edge. One the nose this wine is beautiful with violets, red and black cherries and a hint of lavender. This is a wine you want to drink more than taste. The palate is equally vibrant with high tone fruits electric with energy and nerve balanced with fine deft tannins and lovely weight. Oak is subtle and evident only because of the harmonious finish.
